The contrast in the movement of the water and rock is striking.
The water moves moment by moment.
The rock was moved by the water, but only in the distant past and now is only moved slowly by the rain and winds. That is a much, much slower movement.
All of life is moving, whether we perceive it immedaitely or not.
Yet here I find comfort in the rock in its stillness and the water lapping at its edges asking for change.
