The Journey Into Art: Before And After #6

October 18, 2019

This is one of my early prints, exploring the blasphemous activity of altering the form and colors of my images to express something more than the few modifications most landscape photographers change in their images.

There were just too many straight lines in the original for my liking. So away I went changing the forms AND colors to match my inner vision of the scene and my experience that evening.

Here is the first image from the camera. Clearly way too dark.

So I decided to bracket the scene with 3 images 2 stops apart.

Blending those images resulted in this basic image.

From here I worked on the colors and some of the elements, removing those that were distracting to my eye.

Then I went into "artistry mode" and came out with the final image.
